Walking stick: jewel walking stick, rock crystal knob, spherical in shape, caged by intertwined bands made of gilded silver with garnet cabochons. Snakewood shaft. Metal ferrule. Signed Leopold van Strydonck(1865-1939), a Belgian goldsmith and medalist, official jeweler of the Belgian royal house. Many of his Art Nouveau pieces were produced by Wolfers Frères, one of the most famous Belgian silverware companies, considered on a par with companies such as Tiffany and Bucellati.
