System walking stick: Probing stick, used by customs officials to push bales of cotton or other goods, looking for items on which a duty was to be paid. Bamboo wood barrel, silver knob, iron tip. By extracting the knob, a square-section iron rod comes out, with a concave blade tip with knurled walls at the end, to be able to core the materials. Germany second half of the 19th century.
