The pair of console tables is made of walnut wood for the sculpted and carved parts, while the structural parts are made of ebonized fruit wood. The foot has a square plan with an owl’s beak frame at the top and a flat surface. In the center is the support of the griffin, a tripartite volute element completed by a front element. On the back, in the rear edge, rises a column element of rectangular section with a molded frame at the base. The column rises smoothly. From the base rises and protrudes the sculpture of the chimera with spread wings and a long neck and griffin head, on whose head is a sphere, holding up the console top, together with the tips of the wings and the top of the column behind it.
