Folk art walking stick, L-shaped knob made of carved and painted cherry wood. Along the stem, obtained from the branch, a snake is carved which coils around the cane. The snake’s skin is part of the bark of the cherry branch, with traces of green and red coloring, to simulate the spots of the depicted snake. Metal ferrule. United States of America, late 19th century.
