Art Decò walking stick: jewel cane, cylindrical knob in rock crystal, band made of 18Kt gold, fretwork, 4 squares of two sizes, which allow you to see the rock crystal underneath, with engravings and small squares in Abalone mother-of-pearl embedded. Brand and signature of the silversmith Jean Després (1889-1980), an innovative and influential figure in Art Deco, one of the most important designers. After the war, Després, returned to Avallon, beginning to design elegant, modern, boldly geometric jewelry, using gold, silver, semi-precious stones and enamel. He participated in all the major shows and exhibitions, winning numerous prizes and honours. Paris, France circa 1930.
