The snuffbox is made of boxwood. Made in the second half of the 18th century, is finely sculpted with painted metal eyes. The snuffbox depicts a sitting goat, interpreted in an imaginative way. Between the legs and the tail, a wooden screw opens revealing the tobacco container. France, second half of 18th century.
