A plaster cast for teaching drawing in the academy. Above the round base is the plaster cast of the head of the Allegory of Dawn, from the marble sculpture by Michelangelo Buonarroti, for the New Sacristy, Basilica of S. Lorenzo in Florence, one of the four allegories of the Parts of the Day, and is found on the right on the sarcophagus of the tomb of Lorenzo de’ Medici, Duke of Urbino. Italy circa 1890.
