Set of four small wooden herbalist’s apothecary vases (Althaea flowers, Ginko leaves, Thistle flowers, Myrtle berries) in the purest neoclassical style. The surface is finished with cream-white pastiglia with saffron-colored cartouche and gold-decorated trim, the names of the herbs in black. Coming from the herbalist-apothecary of a Sicilian convent. Italy around 1870. (also sold separately).
