4000 Euro
Art Deco style walking stick. The knob is made of boxwood, brown-reddish in colour, finely carved. Two large and two small cabochons in Baltic amber anchor a four-sided symmetrical architectural structure. Each cutout, hollowed out in the wood, is superimposed by a plate (24 in total), in engraved silver vermeil, creating the complex effect of skylight windows. The octagonal terminal rises gently towards the center of the dome, where a large Baltic amber cabochon is set. Macassar ebony wood shaft, bovine horn ferrule. Signed by Fratelli Broggi, a company of fine silversmiths, founded in 1818 in Milan with branches in other Italian cities. Milan, Italy circa 1920.
