SOLD
A rare walking stick with an octagonal section metal tip and iron tip. Hot-formed ram’s horn barrel, with decoration that emulates the hawthorn barrel, silver vermeil handle.
The cane, clear, is made by hot boiling, sometimes frying and has a flexibility that suggests an aesthetic rather than static use. The Neoclassical handle, in the shape of a twisted milord with alternating bands, smooth and decorated with racemes, the band decorated with laurel leaves. France, circa 1838.
