Library filing cabinet, made of oak wood. The filing cabinet has nine vertical boxes and fourteen horizontal boxes, for a total of one hundred and twenty-six spaces, in which cardboard boxes were inserted with a frontispiece indicating the contents, by genre or origin. Inside are the cards relating to the theme of the title page. The base has a slightly protruding plinth with a rectangular profile. The piece of furniture rises straight and essential to the top, where, in a projecting band in the center of which is written in golden yellow ‘PHANTASIA’ from the Latin, meaning vision, imagination, perhaps related to the main theme of the books to which the cards referred. Above the piece of furniture is a ‘Roman-style’ banner with double writing on the front and back: ‘property and deposit of the national library of Brera’ and a date, 1903.
