2500 EURO
A deconstructed sculpture depicting a foot. The sculpture is made of burnished and patinated terracotta. The anatomy is rendered making use of a variety of basic geometric shapes such as lines, curved lines, the triangle, the circle, sphere elements and geometric solids. Based on the academic sculptures of the late nineteenth century which, replicating classical types, were used to teach in art schools, here the sculpture takes on its own precise autonomy, moving away from the reference to propose new points of view and perspectives. Italy, circa 1920
