The snuffbox is in hazelnut wood carved in the shape of a shoe. The top opens to reveal a second part, with a lid that opens to reveal the tobacco container. On one external side, the dedication by D.C. is engraved. to Madame Chardon, in 1871, on the other side: Suvenire de Prusse. Germany 1871.
